June 2015 Ipsy Bag

Well it's time for another Ipsy bag!  I have to admit that I never get tired of the hot pink bubble pack showing up in my mailbox.  It's girly to the extreme, just like me!  This months theme is "Swim Into Beauty."  You sure don't need to tell me twice, last week was hot, humid and sticky for sure.  Especially with our AC breaking...but lets check out what's in the bag!

First of all, here's the makeup bag that all my goodies came in.  It's almost like a black scuba fabric look, but it's actually polyester.  I'm loving the bright orange coral zipper.  Supposedly this bag is actually waterproof(although I haven't tested it yet).  Perfect for the pool, the beach, or any wet fun this summer has in store for me.
And there's all my goodies.  And here's my thought's on each item...

I love getting lotions, and I've been wanting try LAVANILA LABORATORIES The Healthy Body Butter in Pure Vanilla.  Vanilla scented everything has been my jam since I found Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace when I was in middle school. The consistency of this body butter is luscious.  The scent, in my opinion, is just a touch fancier than your classic vanilla.  This would layer so nicely with a perfume that has vanilla notes.

Smashbox Photo Finish primer, I know, I know, is a cult favorite.  But it's not my favorite at all.  So this'll be going in my sample jar and I'm sure one of my friends will be very excited to get it when I destash.

I haven't tried much Formula X, but what I have tried, I really like.  This color is called Power Source.  It's a glossy orange tinged hot pink.  Two coats and I was good to go.  I got quite a few compliments and someone even thought it was a gel manicure.  I'm definitely going to have to try a few more Formula X shades.

Eyeshadows are something I personally can't have enough of.  My first thought about the packaging for tre'StiQue's Mini Shadow Crayon was that it looks a lot like Marc Jacobs Kiss Pop Lip Color Stick, with the way it looks like a crayon, and then you open it... Anyway, I've never trie tre'StiQue, but the texture is smooth and creamy.  I got the color Kona Coffee.  It's a matte brown, very pigmented, great for a natural toned smokey eye.

Another eye item this month, interesting choice Ipsy.  Here's OFRA Cosmetics Eyeliner in Turquoise.   When first applying this for the swatch, I broke the tip off.  I'm heavy handed today.  I did smudge it out for this swatch.  Turquoise for real, all in your face, demanding your attention.  I sort of like it!  It seems so metallic and blendable that I'd be tempted to use this as an eyeshadow.

Well that's my bag this month.  I really wish Ipsy would've given me more items to create a full look, since I will not be rocking brown eyeshadow with turquoise eyeliner(I could pull it off but I'm not feeling it).  Still, for $10 a month, it's totally worth it.  I'm probably most excited about the Formula X nail polish and the tre'StiQue eyeshadow crayon.  What about you? Do you get Ipsy? What are your loves and not so much's this month? I'd love to hear from you!
