The Only Palette You Need...Stila Eyes Are The Window Mind Palette

If you've ever seen my makeup room, you know I'm obsessed with palettes.  Mostly eye shadow palettes, truthfully.  I feel like I'm constantly on a mission to find the PERFECT palette, though.  That palette with a million possibilities, day looks, night looks, "I woke up this way" looks.  I have to say that the Stila Eyes Are The Window Mind Palette may be it...

Hm, how can I describe how much this palette means to me. Well, an unfortunate circumstance led to my first Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette taking a tumble down the stairs.  Kids, what are you going to do?  This was the first time I've come close to weeping about a material thing.  However, even as I was cleaning each shadow shade off of the carpet with my favorite eye makeup remover, I marveled at the AMAZING pigments.  Such a bitter moment that only helped me love my Mind palette even more.  I quickly recovered and bought another.  And I would buy it over and over and over if I had to.

You've probably guessed by now that I love product packaging.  I need pretty packaging to shine bright like a diamond in my makeup room.  This packaging has become the star.  The navy box is has 3 S's in rose gold, gold and silver. I think it's hinting at a touch of luxury for every look you can create with this palette.  The palette itself is a beautiful shiny gold with just enough heft to feel expensive but not too heavy that you couldn't carry it in your purse.  When I opened it, I fell hard for the giant mirror.  I need this in my life to check if I need touch ups or check the situation with the back of my hair(this morning it was particularly BLEAK).  There's a little clear plastic protector that says "The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination."-Albert Einstein.  So true, and the Stila Mind palette with inspire your imagination.

These 12 gorgeous shades are almost all matte, which is sort of refreshing for me.  I have a lot of shimmer shades, but these shades just feel so sophisticated and fierce at the same time.  I usually go for a dewy skin look and a more matte type of foundation for going out.  These shades work flawlessly with both.
A closer look at the palette just so you can see that it really covers all the bases.  The one at the very top left is an amazing base color if it's applied very lightly with a fluffy brush.  The second row first on the left is a perfect pale pink.  Any of the shades on the far right are super versatile as well.  My favorite way to use them is right under my brow bone in the outer corner of my eyes.  I also have a tip about using the darker shades as an eyeliner.  Take an angled eyeliner brush and spritz it with E.L.F. Makeup Mist & Set Spray, then dapple the brush in the darker shade you're using and line your eye however you prefer.  The spray will darken and intensify the color as well as provide extra staying power.  Here's some swatches:
The top row.
These grays give me so much life.  They bring out the gray in my green eyes wonderfully.  And the lightest shade is great under my brow bone to keep my arches on point, gotta keep that side eye game strong ladies!

As you can see, even the darkest of the shades in this palette can be applied subtly for a daytime look.    Again, you can intensify them with a spritz of setting spray to deepen them for a nighttime look.  The texture of these shadows is very velvety and soft.  They just glide right on and one swipe gives great pigment.  ALWAYS start with a good eye shadow primer first.  Your shadow will last forever, it won't crease, and the colors look better with primer as a base.

This palette will run you about $49 at Sephora, which seems to be the average price of palettes these days.  The versatility of this palette makes it money well spent for sure.

I honestly don't have a ton of Stila products, but with the phenomenal quality of the Stila Eyes Are The Window Mind Palette, I'm looking to try a a few more! What Stila products do you love?  Comment below!
